Ashbourne RFC completed a classic Towns Cup win getting ahead of Wicklow RFC with an excellent try by Danny Colgan, who had just come on to the pitch. Gavin Kennedy converted and this saw us home by two points, in a very windy Cill Dara RFC.

The club takes on current cup holders Tullow RFC, with Sean O'Brien in their ranks, on the 21st of April in Co Carlow FC with a a 3.00pm kickoff.

look out for details of the supporter buses to follow.

Hopefully as many people can get here to support the lads.

Ukrainian Day at Ashbourne RFC

Ashbourne Rugby Club held an event to welcome the Ukrainians that are staying locally. The club set out to welcome them into our community and offer some entertainment in particular for the kids. We hope they had a great time and we look forward to seeing them again in the club. We hope they know that they are very welcome Ashbourne Rugby Club
Many helped out today but a big thanks to Jeff Mahon and family for organising along with the Andrews and Dillon family's and many more of our club members, to many to mention all. Eugene Kennedy and Mark Fagan work hard at the the burgers along with their excellent team - the same burgers made famous at the Women Internationals back in the day!
Alex Soroka was on hand to lend his support. Alex is in his 3rd year at the Leinster Academy and we look forward to seeing a lot more of him for Leinster this season and hopefully Ireland in the future. For those who don't know Alex is an Irish-born to Ukrainian parents and he is raising money for a children's hospital in Kiev and for ongoing support for sick children through out the war. He did not ask but please find the link below to the GoFundMe page if you would like to donate.
Alex welcomed the the visitors and we really appreciate his support today, along with club Executive member Rod Cosgrave.
Well done to all and welcome to all of our Ukrainian friends to our community
