2005

On the playing side in 2005/2006 Ashbourne 2nd XV won the Provincial Towns Cup Plate beating Athy in North Kildare. Our Under 16’s were runners up Leinster League Division 1 that season, as well. This was also the season, which saw the launch of the Club Development plan, which mapped out a 10-year plan for the development of the club. Rod Cosgrave and Bill Duggan where heavily involved in this plan, and it was the basis for many Sports Capital Grant Applications over the coming years. This formed the roadmap that the club followed over the coming years.
