Under 13's Come Up Short in Exciting Finish

Ashbourne Rugby Club Under 13's hosted a strong Navan team in very wet conditions.
Lots of excellent play and handling from both sides and it was an entertaining game.
It all came down to the final moments of the game where Navan escaped victorious.
Well done to Navan and keep it going Ashbourne. Well done lads!!
Navan 31, Ashbourne 28

Ashbourne 2nds XV Lead the Way

Ashbourne Rugby Club 2nd XV update.
Unfortunately Suttonians were unable to field on Saturday which meant we had a disappointed squad but the game was conceded and Ashbourne were awarded the 4 league points available.
As we head into the first break in the league, the squad has maximum points and is 3 points clear in the league with a long way to go.
Well done to the coaching team and squad and keep up the good work and this squad is what the first team depend on, to keep up the pressure on selection throughout both squads.

Ashbourne Return to Winning Ways

Ashbourne Rugby Club 1st XV had a hard fought win against Suttonians RFC at Milltown House on Saturday, winning by a score of 18 points to 10.
This was the first win of the league season and along with the points gained over the last 2 rounds it raised the team into 6th place in Leinster League Div. 1A after 3 rounds. There is only 4 points separating the 8 teams in the division which is very close.
Tries from James Reilly and Shane Rodgers, the latter following an excellent interception from Paddy Murtagh, along with a penalty from Paddy, and penalty and conversion from Gavin Kennedy, saw Ashbourne home heading into a weeks break.
Well done to all involved and we go again in two weeks time at Energia Park versus Bective Rangers. That is a date for your diary
