Womens Coaching Team for 2023/2024 Announced
Our second season of rugby is beginning and we are so excited to announce our new additions to our coaching team this season 👏🏼
Returning to the coaching team are:
Our wonderful head coach & forwards coach Judy Bobbett 🤩
Our amazing Scotsman and Judy’s right hand man Matt Gardiner 🤙🏼
The brilliant backs coach Orla Hayes who helps the team along with some strength & conditioning training 😮💨
Our deadly director Jeff Mahon 💪🏼
And a massive welcome to the team:
Daisy Earle who will be coaching the team on the technical sides of things and focusing on players skills ⚡️
And last but not least Craig Mahon our new team manager 🫱🏼🫲🏽
We are so lucky to have such experienced and passionate coaches on this team, with some having started rugby playing for Ashbourne and moving up to go on to play for their province and country! They bring so much knowledge and give such great guidance to our players and we look forward to another great rugby season with this team of wonderful women 👊🏽

Youth Specific S&C Training
Ashbourne Rugby are delighted to offer to all our Youth Boys Players - specific Strength sessions focused on relevant age grades.
This is a great way to give correct teaching of core strength techniques with a qualified instructor and programmes given to follow for each participant. From Monday Week 12th of June @ Ashbourne Rugby Club Gym U14's to U16's @ 6.30pm U17's to U18.5's @7.30pm Girls focused session details to follow shortly Ashbourne RFC - Building for a better future
