The club is based on its own grounds on Archerstown Road, outside Ashbourne on a 14 acre site. The lasted development added an additional 2.5 acres to the site to bring it the current size.
The clubhouse has two bars, a modern function room to cater for over 300-400 people, four dressing rooms, a newly refurbished fully equipped rugby gym [Done Summer 2011] and a large shower area.The grounds consist of a large car park, Three all weather sand based playing pitches,all of which have flood lights to match standard and 2 5-a-side Astro-turf pitches with flood lighting as well..
In season 2015/2016 the club opened a a full international size 4G playing area which will cater for rugby primarily but will also be available for soccer and other sports. It was opened by the President of the IRFU Martin O’Sullivan, accompanied by the President of the Leinster Branch, Robert McDermott in September 2015. The pitch is fully enclosed and has match quality floodlighting.
In 2005 the executive of Ashbourne RFC put in place a 40 page Development Plan for the structure and plans for implementing the clubs goals and objectives, and take the club to its next level. The plan sets out six main strategic areas of focus, aligned to the IRFU Strategic Plan of 2004, and sets out top line objectives for the club and it’s Executive to be achieved. The strategic areas are: Rugby Development, Youth Development, Facilities, Commercial Programme, Marketing and P.R for the Club, Leadership, Management and Structure.this plan has now finished and has been fully Implemated. [Summer 2011]
We are one of only three centers of excellents in Leinster, where the Leinster players train once a week with professional Leinster coaches.
The club is committed to excellence in both its involvement in the game of rugby at all levels, and in providing amenities and facilities to the town of Ashbourne.
